Reeds

Project Overview:

Reeds
by Daimon Marchand
Student project, CCAC-FVP, Interface class, Fall 2002

Project Description:

The reeds are set out in a grid pattern in a small gallery space. When a person approaches the reeds, they respond to what is directly in front of them by quivering. Each reed is fitted with a little motor with an assymetrical weight on it to create the quivering effect. The grid is sectioned in such a way that when a person moves about, the corresponding reeds respond to the persons location.

System:
Max/MSP/Jitter, Teleo Digital Out Modules, Teleo USB Translator, Teleo Power Module, surveillance camera, generic DC motors.
