POTENTIAL MAX/MSP PROBLEMS: |
|
PROBLEM : changing value at any inlet (number or bang) causes message: "Can not send data to unbound module" |
Affected Modules: all
Check:
- Exit Max and invoke a terminal program, ZTerm, for example. Does ZTerm complain that the USB port is unavailable?
- If yes, the USB driver is probably confused and needs to be reset:
1. exit ZTerm (you did already exit Max)
2. remove the USB cable from the Intro Module
3. remove the TeleoNetwork cable from the Intro Module
4. wait 5 seconds
5. reconnect the TeleoNetwork cable and the USB cable
6. invoke ZTerm again. If it is able to connect, exit ZTerm and try Max again.
7. finally, try rebooting your Mac.- If no, then the Intro Module might be confused and needs to be reset:
1. exit ZTterm (you did already exit Max)
2. remove the TeleoNetwork cable from the Intro Module
3. wait 5 seconds
4. reconnect the TeleoNetwork cable
5. invoke ZTerm again. if it is able to connect, exit ZTerm and try Max again.

PROBLEM : quitting Max hangs |
Affected Modules: all
Check:
- Did you unplug the USB cable before quitting Max? The Teleo software attempts to disconnect from the modules, and will try forever. For now, force max to quit by holding down OPTION key and the APPLE key, and pressing ESCAPE; in the future, exit Max prior to unplugging the USB cable
|
PROBLEM : while trying to set address, light doesn't stop rapid flashing |
Affected Modules: all
Check:
- Re-send the "t.address.set" message. This message is a broadcast message - sent to all modules and so might get lost, especially if there is much activity on the TeleoNetwork.
|
PROBLEM : "Can not send data to unbound module" |
Affected Modules: all
Check:
- Both the USB cable and the power supply must be plugged in to the Intro Module BEFORE Max is invoked (other modules may be connected and disconnected while Max is running)
