XBee Wireless Boards now available
Now extend your Make Controller projects wirelessly with the very popular (and cheap!) XBee modules.
The XBee modules are cheap (starting at $19) and communicate directly with the serial port on the Make Controller. MakingThings now offers a simple interface board, that allows you to easily connect the XBee modules with the Make Controller.
The XBee tutorial includes LOTS of info about how to use them, and we've made it easy to integrate the XBee modules into your own firmware applications, or desktop applications via OSC.
Check out all the info below and post any questions to the forum - thanks!
Features
- XBee modules have a range of 100'/300' indoors and 300'/1 mile outdoors (clear line of sight) for the Normal/Pro versions.
- XBee modules have 9 additional inputs to expand the number of inputs on your Make Controller.
- This board provides easy access to all 20 pins on the XBee module on a 0.1" spaced grid. It plugs straight into the Make Controller, or integrates into your breadboard design
