mchelper firmware upload not working on OS X 10.5
Due to a change in the Apple USB driver, it's not currently possible to upload new code using mchelper.
This is a bummer. We've been in touch with Apple, and they have informed us that it's a problem in the SAM7X itself (the chip used in the Make Controller) which an update in the Apple USB driver has exposed. However, they have told us that they're optimistic they'll be able to release a version of the driver that will accomodate the problems in the chip. We just hope this happens soon!
mchelper 2.0.0 currently crashes when trying to upload new firmware. The crashing has been fixed in an upcoming version, but the problem remains that it's not possible to upload new firmware. For a history and updates on this issue, see the tracker - issues #35 and #50.
