Butler bot

I'm designing a robot that will track a pair of red shoes that I have, or another colored object, and follow it around, avoiding obsticals and walls. I've got a mini computer that will be running RoboRealm with a usb camera up front for navigation, and sending OSC messages to the Make Controller for movement. Any ideas on other aspects I should add to it for more functionability?
