Help with LED project.

Hey maker friends, I'm new to the MCK, and I just need a little help, I'm sure to you dudes it's easy but I am just starting out here. Here's the low down I need to control four LED strips, I just need to turn them on and off, using the flash extension, that parts not the problem, what I need to know is... the LED strips run off a power supply (12V 5A) what I don't know is how to bring that power in, to power the LEDS. You would help me the most if you could just tell me something like this, if its that easy of course (-) and (+) of the power supply into "this" on your MCK. and then plug in your LED strips (+) and (-) into "this" port on your MCK. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this, any suggestions at all would be awesome.

Well, it depends a bit on how much current your LEDs are going to draw. Most likely what you want to do is connect your power supply to one of the VExt connectors on one of the banks of outputs. Then, switch the voltage jumper to VExt and connect your LEDs between GND and the outputs of that bank. The jumpers have a 3A limit, so I would start gently before turning on all the juice. If your requirements are much higher than that, you may need to investigate a relay or some other high current circuit.
