USB fixes yet?

Posted by webdude at May 17. 2008

Hi there,

I just ordered my Make Controller and was somewhat disapointed to just now read that the USB support is essentially non-functional when using .NET. Although I understand it may be out of MakingThings control, I'm wondering if any plans are in place to update the library, or if it has already been fixed.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks!

Gosh, no replies. I have my controller, and though it works great with the Ethernet, the lack of USB is really annoying. Is there anybody that can help with this? It would be *really* cool if it truly supported C# .Net for USB.

Thanks!

Sorry your original post slipped through the cracks, but I just responded to another post with similar questions - I don't personally have any plans to update this library, but my guess is that anybody with moderate C# experience could probably get in there, have a look and bring things up to date.  As I recall, the issue stemmed from a bug in the .NET framework USB code which may now be fixed.
