Hi, I am trying to find a decent guide that indicates how to get MSP to play a sound file when a press an analogue button which I have connected to the Make Controller Kit. I dont have much of an MSP or Make Controller background. Thanks

Hi Drew,

To play a sondfile in Max/MSP check out the sfplay~ object, this loads soundfiles. Connecting the outs of the sfplay~ object through some gain~ objects and those outlets to the dac~ gives you control over the volume.

Check the help of the sfplay~ object on how to trigger a song from the beginning or a specific position.

Next you somehow have to readout the button connected to your make controller and use this as a trigger for your sfplay~ object.
