Digital outputs are not responding consistently

I have a patch that sends out bangs to the digitalout ports.

Sometimes they work correctly, other times the messages are not received problem.

If I manually bang the messages they always are sent correctly.

But if I let the automatic patch bang the messages, they only work about 50% of the time, even though I can see the bang coming in every time.

Could this be a bug with the board . . .
I am using Leopard with the newest firmware on the board.
