IR analog input stop responding after a few minutes

I am using 1.5.1 Heavy

with OSX 10.5.2

opening mchelper seems to kick the board out of it freeze and the values start appearing in both mchelper and max/msp

is there a way to reset the board

The problem begins as soon as I try and send out to the digital outputs, the inputs from the analog input being to slow down and eventually stop.
