glitchy analogue ins in max with usb make controller

Posted by Jon Pigott at March 10. 2010

OK, I've got my make controller V2.0 all hooked up to max5 under osx 10.5.8 using Heavy 1.7 etc as per the latest instructions according to this forum (maybe an idea to update the other max / make controller links elsewhere on the site....) and its basically working OK (led's on / off, digital outs on / off etc) but i have two questions - well one question and one problem actually. First the problem - when i hook up a potential divider to feed an analogue in on the mc board, the max patch does not reflect a smooth transition between values. It updates sporadically sometimes fast, sometimes taking up to a second or so to change.....I've tried altering the metro time that drives the read requests and also experimented with the autosend option but always the same problem. Anyone any ideas?

Also my question: where on my mc hardware are the digital ins that the makecontroller patch refers to...?

Thanks in advance! Jon.
