Trouble uploading .bin

Posted by William Hess at September 19. 2008

I'm having difficulty uploading a .bin file through Make Controller Helper.

Its a new board and this is the first time I've tried working with it. After installing everything I connected the two pins to erase whats on the board. And now when I hit the Upload button in the Make Controller Helper, nothing happens.

1. In the Device Manager the Make Controller Kit has a status of "This device cannot start (code 10)"

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Hi William,

I also have this problem with 'mchelper'. But i found that i could get 'mcbuilder' to upload the file.

"Upload file to board..." under the Project menu. worth a try.

You might try reinstalling the device as well - right click in the Device Manager, uninstall, then unplug/replug. If this is your first time doing it, remember you'll have to go through the Windows driver installation dialog once for the board as a Make Controller, and once as an erased (SAM-BA) device.
