Plugging my make controller into either an eithernet port or a usb port generates the same error in MCHelper. The error message reads: "error No Subsystem Match -". I can't get any farther than this. The controller will not respond to any messages.

Try upgrading the firmware on your board to the latest heavy.bin from the downloads section.

No response from LED

Posted by Hyouk Ryeol Choi at May 03, 2009 01:14 AM
I just started to use the makecontroller, though I bought it last year.
I did download the firmware and the red LED is on, the green LEd is blinking in the microcontroller.
As noted in the mchelper tutorial, in the drop-down box next to Send type: /appled/0/state 1
and then pressing Send. But, the application board LED 0 does not respond. Do I need an additional power source or any comment on this ?

How to get response from LED

I had the same behaviour - I figured it out by typing /appled/0 which told me all the options available for the LED - turns out that besides state, there is also active. When I tried querying /appled/0/active I got back 0, so I tried sending /appled/0/active 1.

Now when I send /appled/0/state/1 the LED turns on :-)

no response back from controller

hello, I still can't get a message back from the make controller, or turn on a led...

no response back from controller

I am having the exact same issues. I have tried everything in the documentation, forums and more. I've been using Max since 1999 and consider myself to be pretty good with it.

I'm using OS X 10.5.8 and Max 5.0.5

I have tried two separate controllers and nothing works. I must say that the documentation on this device is really poor.

Good luck finding this thread from inside the forums... Even though many people there may need to know this stuff...

I don't expect a reply seeing as the previous post was from 2 months ago...
