I just got a new board and it's giving me error messages

Especially if you plug your board into mchelper and you're seeing messages like
Though new boards come pre-programmed, from time to time improvements are made to the firmware that we don't have a chance to load on the boards before they get shipped from the factory. For this reason, it's a good idea to upload the newest version onto your board. The newest version (called Heavy.bin) can always be found on the Downloads page.
