Founded in 1998 by a talented design & engineering duo, and surrounded by an experienced team of developers and project managers, MakingThings specializes in the rapid prototyping and development of digital devices, exhibits and environments. We're particularly adept at building, and helping others to build, complex projects that combine software with electronics and that integrate a wide variety input and output devices (such as sensors, motors, and more).
 

Prototyping and Development Tools

MakingThings markets a line of inexpensive, easy-to-use tools for prototyping and developing interactive projects. These tools include the Make Controller Kit, and a wide range of sensors and actuators, all of which are available in the MakingThings Online Store.

MakingThings' product line appeals to individual designers, artists, and hobbyists who are passionate about - making things - and who are looking for a versatile and affordable means to realize their most excellent creations.

Our products are also popular teaching and learning tools, particularly at the post-secondary level. This appeal spans a wide range of university departments and classes:
